The company is a relatively new and highly innovative operation. The story really begins as recently as 2013, with the company growing rapidly ever since. The following year was a momentous one in the short history of this highly successful start-up. April 2014 saw the launch of its spectacular new gaming platform called EVOLVE, which really was the beginning of an astonishing period of expansion which continues to this day. It’s brilliantly designed games and smooth running platform saw revenues rise spectacularly, with turnover quadrupling in the following year. It is now probably the biggest name in mobile gaming in the United Kingdom, operating several casino sites. Perhaps the best known are Chomp Casino and Sapphire Rooms.

Perhaps the most notable advantage of Nektan’s sites is that their games are specifically designed with the smaller screen of the mobile and tablet in mind. This is the opposite of most of its rivals, which design games for the larger display of the desktop PC. These then have to be customised to fit the more compact screens of mobile devices. It is notable how easy it is to play on Nektan’s games and sites: both its own designs and those of its licenced partners Net Ent are spectacularly rendered and particularly smooth running and easy to follow on smaller devices.

Mobile technology has advanced rapidly in recent years. This has been the case both in terms of the design and power of mobile handsets, and in improvements in signal technology, such as the advent of 4G and the more widespread availability of Wi-Fi. Nektan has been superbly placed to take advantage of this, with its innovative game play ideally suited to the more rapid processing speed of the modern Apple and Android handsets.

It is anticipated that play on mobiles and tablets will overtake desktop and laptop in the very near future, as on the go play continues to grow far more rapidly that office and home bound play on the traditional PC. It seems that there is no end in sight to the incredible growth of Nektan’s popularity.
